Sir Robin Saxby, Chairman, ARM was our 2006 recipient...The Semico Bellwether Award is a signed, one-of-a-kind piece combining sculptural linkages and wind bells designed by internationally recognized architect and artist, Paulo Soleri, Ph.D. Semico affectionately established in 1999 the Bellwether Award to commemorate semiconductor leaders.  This honor is bestowed on a selected company head, for notable contributions and achievements in the semiconductor industry, under the umbrella of grace and style. It is awarded by Semico only once per year at the Semico Summit during the prestigious luncheon ceremony. The recipient is also our conference kick-off keynote.

"I always enjoy your events. The comment from Wally was very appropriate, Scottsdale has always been a great place to congregate, certainly for us old Motorolans. My house in the 60’s was right next to Camelback Inn. You are filling a void. I would always go to the Rosen events, and later to Instat, Jack B. used to be in my Silicon Transistor group at Moto. The makeup of your invitees is good. You pull from a wide variety of suppliers and customers. The panel approach works well, you get good panel/audience interaction. Perhaps random questions from the audience could be augmented by more questions from Semico, to make sure the important issues of the day get addressed. Overall an excellent meeting..."
